2 Books, 1 Review

Remember that list I made of books I wanted to read? Well last week I apparently had a lot of free time, and was able to knock two of them off the list! I am happy to report that neither one of them were a disappointment either, but they were two totally different stories. I would definitely suggest for you to read either (or both!) of them and let me know what you think!

  1. “The Couple Next Door” – Shari Lapena 28815474

Okay, so this one was a totally crazy book to read. If you were a fan of “Gone Girl” or “Girl on a Train,” then you should pick this book up or put it on the top of your list of ones that need to be read. It is a really twisted story about a kidnapped child that really had me hooked until the end trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Fun fact about the author, Shari Lapena was previously a lawyer, and this was her debut suspense novel. Not too shabby if you ask me. Also, according to Good Reads, this is a 3.74 out of 5.

2. It Ends With Us – Colleen Hoover27362503

This book, might be one of my new favorites hands down. If you love books that make you laugh, cry, love, hate, and just want to keep reading even though you really should be sleeping or getting ready for work – PICK THIS ONE. This novel is a beautifully written story that opens a door into the world of domestic violence and it is something that I think everyone should read. Colleen Hoover uses her own personal experiences as inspiration making this even easier to relate to. When I finished the last page, I could have wished for more, but it ended in a such a way that it was perfectly said. Good Reads rating – 4.51 out of 5. Come on, surely you are curious about it now.

While I now have two crossed off my list, I have a habit of adding to the list every time I finish one making it pretty consistent at never ending. But! I have “I’m from Nowhere” by Suzanne Myers up next, so stay tuned for another review in the near future!
